Term 1 – 9 Weeks of Creative Learning for Adults, Youth & Kids

I’m excited to restart another round of art classes for Term 1 – 9 Weeks, starting Feb 5th – 2nd April for 9 weeks These classes are open to all experience levels and will run from Thursday Feb 3rd – 2nd April held in my studio at the back of the gallery in my art space. PLEASE NOTE: the front of the gallery is run by Spirits of The Didge, so please come round to the back entrance to come to class. Parking is in the parking lot opposite the library or just drop off and pick up in the lane. Slight change to times to accommodate age levels, please take note.
Artistic Themes We’ll Explore This Term\All Skill Levels Welcome | Term Program

These face-to-face art classes are designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and skill in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.

This term, we’ll explore a wide range of subjects and styles, moving from expressive mixed media into more refined realism. Each class includes guided techniques when needed, and plenty of freedom for personal expression.

Throughout the term, students will work across a rich variety of subjects and styles, inspired by our own creative interpretations.

Themes include:

• Landscapes & seascapes

• Portraits — animals and people

• Black & white studies and tonal work

• Still life compositions

• Florals and organic forms

• Local, recognisable district landscapes

• Drawing foundations and tonal sketching

• Abstract and expressive explorations

Using art journals or provided canvases, we’ll layer materials such as acrylic paint, ink, pastel, pencil, collage, and mixed media tools to create confident, character-filled artworks.

👶 Children’s Classes (Kindy – Year 6)

Children’s sessions are carefully structured to suit each developmental stage:

• Younger artists: focus on imagination, storytelling, and playful exploration

• Older primary students: gentle introduction to observation, tone, structure, and drawing skills

The aim is to build joy, confidence, and pride in each child’s creative journey.

🎨 Youth (10+) & Adult Classes

In the later part of the term, youth and adult classes transition into a more focused realism approach.

Students will learn:

• Grayscale underpainting and understanding tonal values

• Blocking in shapes and building strong compositions

• Refining details, depth, and finishing touches

Using reference images (provided or self-selected), students will complete one or more finished artworks from start to finish.

This class suits:

• Curious beginners wanting structure and guidance

• Returning artists rebuilding confidence

• Experienced artists refining realism and technique

Class Schedule & Pricing
 Adult Morning Class
Time: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Cost: $45 per session or $350 upfront
Ideal For: Adults of all skill levels wanting to explore or deepen their artistic practice
 Kidz Art Class (Kindy – Year 6)
Time: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM (NOTE CHANGE OF TIME)
Cost: $30 per session or $200 upfront
Details: A playful and educational space for young artists to experiment, create, and grow. Hands-on projects each week in their own designated workshop area.
 Youth Art Class (Upper Primary & High School)
Time: 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM (NOTE CHANGE OF TIME) Cost: $30 per session or $200 upfront
Details: A separate, age-appropriate workshop space tailored for older students, focusing on skill-building, individual expression, and more advanced techniques.
 Evening Adult Class Old Masters Course
Time: 6:15 PM – 8:45PM (NOTE CHANGE OF TIME) Cost: $45 per session or $350 upfront for 9 weeks
Perfect For: Adults who want a creative outlet after work—come unwind and explore your creativity in a guided, inspiring environment.
